The 2016 elections in the Philippines is much too far away. Already, some sectors like the media noted that the recent campaign to expose the misuse of pork barrel funds is intended to bring down political aspirants determined to get a seat in the Philippine May 2016 National and Local Elections.

1. If the Office of the President pushes through with reforms and modernization plans, the Commission on Elections will have a modernized integrated system of election management by 2016. The Honorable Chairman Sixto Brillantes will tender his resignation before 2016, if and when poll modernization pushes through. In case of indisposition and health issues, Hon.
