Ominous massive fraud in the May 9 Philippine Elections

Re-Engineering and Modernization of Electoral Systems

First of 3 parts

Recently, the shamelessly clear trending operation being conducted by the administration to justify cheating in the 2016 elections a TV Channel has suddenly propelled Liberal Party candidate Mar Roxas close to the top ranked presidential candidate. Roxas literally leapt over the heads of the two other presidential candidates, Jejomar Binay and Grace Poe Llamanzares.

Maria Leonor Robredo, Roxas’ vice-presidential running mate, suddenly jumped to the top rank of the vice-president candidates, sharing the lead with Ferdinand Marcos Jr.  Disguised as a come out and vote as well as vote honestly campaign, the ABS CBN Ipanalo ang Pamilyang Pilipino cheap gimmick revealed its true face as ABS CBN star anchor Boy Abunda made different spiels on ang boto para sa Pamilyang Pilipino ay Mar Roxas (the vote for the the Filipino Family is the vote for Mar Roxas.)

This phenomenon is a highly dubious repeat of the 2010 elections when…

Who is the real Mar Roxas?

The Nation Forum. 1987.

mar roxas

It is said that presidential candidate Mar Roxas is not even a real Roxas. He is an illegitimate, bastard grandson of Manuel Quezon, (photo below) when Quezon was still a Congressman.

Manuel QuezonQuezon sired a child illicitly with Trinidad de Leon, a hare-brained scion of a rich clan from Bulacan, while then Congressman Manuel Roxas was already about to be wed to Ms. Juanita MacIlvain, an Irish lady with real class.  Roxas and MacIlvain already had their own flat in Ermita, Manila and at that same house, Roxas and Juanita raised the real Roxas family, a far cry from the bastard son of Trinidad with the gallivanting Manuel Quezon.

Disaster and Philippine Elections

An article in a blog calls the attention of the public sector to form a Master Plan for disaster and emergency response for Metro Manila.

Congressman Jose Atienza pushes for a Master Plan for the National Capital Region.
We would like to thank Rep. Atienza for pointing this out. On the other hand, there is also a need for a master plan for managing any kind of disaster that will hit Metro Manila. From our honest assessment, there is really none.
Early this year, my uncle Nick Fernandez and myself had an audience with Chairman Francis Tolentino of the Metro Manila Development Authority.
We were told by Chairman Tolentino that he and an Australian group now had a disaster map of Metro Manila that cost a few million pesos. It shows the many hazards and risks that Metro Manilans are exposed to. Chairman Tolentino stressed that he and his Australian counterparts are ready to post the disaster map over the internet. Most politely it was told to the Honorable Chairman that the need is really for a truly interactive map that will benefit the people of Metro Manila when it comes to the issue of forewarning during disaster. Such a map will certainly require a really big budget – as I have found out during the entire advocacy for safety and disaster prepared since 1990.
In the World Bank Study of 1996/7 up to 1999 alone, more than United States Dollars Two Millions (USD2,000,000) was spent on mapping only the earthquake fault emanating from the Marikina West and East Valley area.  How much would have been spent at today’s costs (nearly twenty years later), if all the environmental hazards are figured into the final geohazard map for Metro Manila?
US Dollars Twenty Millions (USD20,000,000) will not nearly be enough. Read more from here

Recently, Phivolcs issued media statements to the effect that the Manila Trench and the Marikina Valley Fault System will become active in soon and within this lifetime. It may not only affect Metro Manila but also Visayas.

Considering that the Visayas and Mindanao areas only fairly recently suffered the #Yolanda tragedy, among other calamities in recent past, the prospects of electorate preference shifting is great.

The current majority party – Liberal Party that considered the incumbent interior and local government secretary Hon. Manuel A. Roxas III as its standard bearer, is foreseen to suffer irreparable loss of voter confidence in the next elections.

This is not taking into account a future catastrophe similar to that of Fukushima-Sendai, Japan.  Collective electorate mood swings have been noted during the #Yolanda / #Haiyan fiasco that foretell of very few votes in favor of the majority Liberal Party in the 2016 elections.

Investor confidence and political supporters, despite the drumbeating of the public sector of high levels of new investments for the Philippines after #Yolanda, is very low. As many predicted in the past, H.E. President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino 3rd has not only turned into a lameduck President, but will not be able to influence the tides in the next presidential elections. What with the current ruling of the Honorable Supreme Court that the Malacañang baby called Development Acceleration Program (DAP) is unconstitutional.

Granting that President Aquino 3rd will be impeached, this more so bodes unwell for the Liberal Party and that organization will be forever branded in Philippine Politics as worse than any other political party in the world that steals money and government resources with all abandon. It will be labeled as a party of thieves and others will go as far as even making them heinous crime perpetrators – with all the death and serious ailments being reported over media from the inability of the public sector to deal promptly with major national problems and even international incidents such as the farcical Sabah invasion led by Datu Punjungan claiming to be the incumbent reigning Sultan Kiram.

For the world community, the 2016 elections may not be as much interesting to watch as the next FIFA, NBA or Israel-Palestine event or incident. But those that are concerned with the coming changing of the guard in the Philippine government will surely appreciate that placing their bets on any other political group other than the Liberal Party will not only be the correct thing to do.

It is the only thing to do.

Very Dirty Leyte Barangay Elections

Obnoxious. That is what a large number of the people of Leyte describe their own Barangay Elections this October 2013.

People of Leyte are calling upon The Honorable, The Chairman, The Commission on Elections to correct the situation, with the best effort that The Honorable, The Commission can give to the poor, hapless people of Leyte Province. An example of the use of fraud was in Palompon, Leyte where a candidate for the post of Barangay Chairman, Edwin Fuentes, hauled residents of far-flung areas to register and vote in Bgy. Tinago, Palompon, Leyte. Some of Edwin Fuentes’ candidates for councilor won but he himself, despite his flying voters, could not win over the lead of his opponent.
The beautiful town of Palompon, Leyte where many unpleasant election fraud cases happened

This is also the same story told by the Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE). The executive director of LENTE, Atty. Rona Ann Caritos told ABS-CBN News Channel program Top Story the 2013 Barangay Elections candidates’ attitude and behavior this time was much worse than in the 2010 elections. Her organization reported negative findings about the Barangay elections in Leyte Province.
On the day of the elections itself, LENTE’s Atty. Caritos in the ANC program, disclosed to the public that especially in Leyte, flying voters, double voting, and “ghost” voters made the 2013 Barangay Elections dirty. Atty. Caritos declared that, “We received a lot of reports of candidates campaigning on the day of elections, their candidates giving flyers and pamphlets.”
In the ANC report, Caritos highlighted the problem regarding flying voters. She claimed, “A lot of people were not able to vote because someone already voted in their name.”
Caritos admonished public sector election agencies to strictly implement the biometrics law in the next elections to solve the problem. She said that there is nothing that can be done regarding the attitude of candidates. That for the 2016 elections, all voters must be required to have their biometrics taken. With the biometrics law, the problem with flying voters, ghost voters, double voters will be eliminated.
LENTE says that more accountability with reference to election law violators is needed. And that, if there will be barangay elections in 2016, it is calling for more accountability, for more law violators to be punished. Caritos further said that what is prevailing is the violation of election law with impunity. The candidates and followers violate the law left and right without any compunction.
Caritos enjoined the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to punish and jail violators of election laws to set an example.
On the other hand, the Chairman of Comelec, Honorable Sixto Brillantes Jr. said their office monitored incidents involving strafing, ballot snatching and delays but the elections were generally smooth.
There were a total of about 18 incidents. Compared to the violence experienced in 2010, Chairman Brillantes declared this year’s statistics are much lower.
Police authorities report that all over the country, no less than 5 people died in the period near the elections of October 28, 2013. However, pre-election day violence was serious that the national police authorities monitored a large number of violent incidents. No less than 22 people died over a brief period prior to the elections.

Pollmodernization.org – 2016 poll forecast bulletin

The 2016 elections in the Philippines is much too far away. Already, some sectors like the media noted that the recent campaign to expose the misuse of pork barrel funds is intended to bring down political aspirants determined to get a seat in the Philippine May 2016 National and Local Elections.
Philippine watchers recently came up with their own forecast bulletin on the 2016 elections watch:
2016 Election Forecasts:
Sep 2-Oct 2, 2013
1. If the Office of the President pushes through with reforms and modernization plans, the Commission on Elections will have a modernized integrated system of election management by 2016. The Honorable Chairman Sixto Brillantes will tender his resignation before 2016, if and when poll modernization pushes through. In case of indisposition and health issues, Hon. Sixto Brillantes will still pursue Commission reforms as one of the most important legacies he will leave in changing the system of managing the elections. Click here for more.
